Gladys N. Wharton, nee Heichel

Mrs. Gladys N. Wharton, 69, of 258 Spring St., the wife of Clifford E. Wharton,
died at her home Saturday evening.
Mrs. Wharton was born July 8, 1902, in Mansfield and lived here all of her life.
She was a member of the Free Methodist Church, here she was a deaconess, a life
member of the Women's Missionary Society and taught Sunday school for many
years.
Surviving besides her husband are four sons, Lawrence E., Carl E., and Gerald R.
of Mansfield, and Donald E. of Medina; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth
(Evangeline) Yarman, Mrs. Gerald (Elenor) Finley, and Mrs. Richard (Lillian)
Conard of Mansfield, 23 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers,
William E. Heichel of Mansfield, and Elmer Heichel of Canton. Funeral Services
will be held Wednesday at 2 P.M., at the Free Methodist Church, 374 Willowood
Dr. East by her Pastor, Rev. Walter Orr. Burial will be in the Mansfield
Memorial Park. Friends may call at Wappner Funeral home Tuesday afternoon and
evening.
