QUEENER, WILLIAM LEONARD - age 90, of Jacksboro, passed away Monday, June 21, 1999 at The Baptist Medical Center in Knoxville. Mr. Queener was a member of East Jacksboro Baptist Church.

Besides the love he had for his family, his hobby was raising game chickens. Preceded in death by his parents, Henry Batson and Martha Clotfelter Queener; brothers, John and Carl Queener.

Mr. Queener is survived by his wife of 69 years, Thelma Hembree Queener of Jacksboro; son and daughter-in-law, Alva Gene and Maxine Queener of Jacksboro; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Arnold Ray Gaylor of Baxter, TN; grandchildren, Lynette Queener of Jacksboro; Steven Wayne Queener and wife, Ruth Ann of Jacksboro; great-grandchildren, Savannah Marie Queener and Steven Wayne Queener, Jr.; sisters, Maggie Lovett and Murel Baird, both of Jacksboro, Thelma Tiller, Mary Tiller and Gladys Miller, all of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at East Jacksboro Baptist Church with Rev. Sonny Longmire and Rev. Benny Wells officiating.

Active Pallbearers are Carl Robert Queener, Carl Hembree, Paul Tiller, Michael Miller, Bobby Baird and Lynn Baird. Honorary Pallbearers are Dan Tiller and Gary Lindsay.

Interment to follow in Campbell Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home
