Former County Resident Dead

 Oconto- William J. Hayes, 69 former Town of Oconto resident, died Tuesday in Lutheran Hospital at Fort Dodge, Ia. where he had been residing.

He operated a farm in Town of Oconto until 18 years ago when he moved to Iowa. He was born in Town of Oconto June 6, 1892.

Surviving are his wife, the former Wilhelmina Draeger; three daughters, Mrs. Jacquart and Mrs. Wilfred Mineau of Greenbay and Mrs. Miles Koranda of Port Forest, Ill.; six sons, Willard of Winterport, Fla., Alvin of Milwaukee, Harvey of LaHarbor, Calif. Ralph who is in military service at Burlington, Ia., Robert of Philadelphia and James of Fort Dodge.

Also surviving are four brothers Archie, Wilbur and Edward of Town of Oconto and Robert of California, 30 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The body will be brought to Gallagher funeral home here where final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday.  The Rev. Newton Roberts will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Friday.
