In this city, on Saturday, June 27, 1885, after a illness of 24 hours, Katie, youngest child of John and Ann Archibald, aged 3 years and 9 months. The deceased was a bright, winsome child, and her sudden demise was a severe shock to her parents, who have the deepest sympathy of all their friends in their affliction. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Fr. Sweibach, at the St. Joseph R. C. church on Monday.
The spirit of Mrs. Harvey England, of Peshtigo, passed to a better world on the 26 inst. Her funeral occurred here Saturday at 2 o’clock. She leaves a husband and two children, who mourn her loss. The deceased was a woman of sterling qualities and was loved by all who knew here. | John ARCHIBALD

Grandfather of 18 and great-grandfather of one. Brother of Harvey, Ralph, Violet Mineau, Robert and James.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, Feb. 4 at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto from 3 p.m. until time of the service at 7 p.m., for Harvey K. Hayes, 86, of Oconto.
Rev. Fredrick Schultz will officiate and interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto. He died Monday, Feb. 1 at Woodlands of Oconto.
The son of the late William and Wilhelmina (Draeger) Hayes was born on Sept. 19, 1923 in Oconto. On Nov. 18, 1946 he married Florence McFadden in Chicago.
He served in the United States Army during World War II, including the Invasion of Normandy. He owned and operated Hayes Trucking starting in Oconto and concluded his operation in California. He enjoyed spending winters in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. He also enjoyed camping and was an accomplished mechanic who loved working on trucks.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; five children, Ron (Kathy) Hayes and Ken Hayes, both of Oconto, Mrs. Terris (Beverly) Umentum of Oconto Falls, Kathleen Noren of San Diego, Calif. and Mrs. Michael, sr. (Debi) Jackson of Eden Prairie, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Lola) Hayes of Cantril, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Wilfred ?Toby? (Violet) Mineau of Green Bay and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Hayes of Burlington, Kan. and Ann Hayes of Holmbury, Pa.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Melissa Noren and Patrick Umentum; seven brothers and sisters, Margaret Jacquart, Alvin Hayes, Willard Hayes, Helen Koranda, Robert Hayes, Ralph Hayes and Gladys Hayes.

Jacquart, Mrs. Joseph (Margaret Hayes) Mrs. Joseph (Margaret Hayes) Jacquart, 87, Green Bay resident, died May 23, 2002, following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 6, 1915, in Oconto, Wis., to the late William and Minnie (Draeger) Hayes. She married Joseph Jacquart in Oconto, Wis., on Sept. 12, 1935. They farmed in Couillardville, Wis., until 1950 when they moved to Green Bay. Joseph preceded her in death Jan. 17, 1971. Margaret worked at H.C. Prange Co. for many years. She was a member of numerous prayer groups and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. Margaret was an outgoing person, always willing to help family and others who stayed in her home. She has been a member of St. Willebrord Parish and Altar Society for over 50 years and a member of St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Daniel Roznowski, Lakewood; four grandchildren, Julie (Philip) Olson, Mary Schnell, Karen Schley, Robert (Patricia) Roznowski, all from Milwaukee; six great-grandchildren, Eric and Matthew Olson, Bradley Schnell, Andrew and Michelle Schley, Monique Tune; and two step-great-grandchildren, Nicole Bartz, Matthew Radke; five brothers and one sister, Alvin (Lucille) Hayes, Milwaukee; Harvey (Grace) Hayes, Whittier, Calif.; Ralph (Ruth) Hayes, Burlington, Kan.; Violet (Wilfred "Toby'') Mineau, Green Bay; Robert (Ann) Hayes, Philadelphia, Penn.; James (Lola) Hayes, Cantril, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Florence Hayes, Oconto; one brother-in-law, Myles Koranda, Park Forest, Ill.; many nieces and nephews and loving niece, Mrs. Al (Janet) Drewieske.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Hayes; two sisters, Gladys Hayes and Helen Koranda; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Hayes and Alice Hayes.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday until the cortege leaves for church. Parish Wake Service 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Monday at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams St., with Reverend Kenneth De Groot O Praem officiating. Committal Service and burial 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Margaret's name.
Margaret's family wishes to express a sincere thank you to St. Vincent's 9th Floor nurses and staff, Dr. Paul Schmitz and Dr. Stephen Somerville and the nurses and staff of Unity Hospice. Their special care was very much appreciated.

WILBUR L. HAYES, 88, of 100 E. Highland Dr., Oconto Falls, Friday January 14, 2000 Sharpe Care Ltd., Oconto Falls.
Wilbur was bom September l9ll in Oconto to the late Ric and Jane (Archibald) Hayes. He married Gladys Borkovec on October 30, 1937. She preceded him in death on April 29, 1998. Wilbur and Gladys farmed all their lives in the Town. of Oconto, retiring in 1973. Wilbur was a member of Holy Trinity Parish.
Wilbur is survived by daughters, Marion Gabriel, Newton, WI; LaVerne (Robert) Denneau, Kewaskum; three sons, Jack (Jean) Hayes, Plymouth; Jerry (Rita) Hayes, Abrams; Gary Hayes, Boise, ID; ten grandchildren, eight grandchildren and many nieces and many nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by two sons, James and Pete; five broters, William, Archie, James, Edward, Robert; one sister, Gladys and one son-in-law, Claude Gabriel.
The family received relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto where a prayer service was held. Mass of Christian burial was cerebrated 10 a.m. Monday January 17 at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Joseph Site with the Rev. David C. Ruby officiating.
